2017 Saturday Gardening Series Set for March 4 and 11

This year’s Saturday Gardening Series will be held on Saturday, March 4, and Saturday, March 11, from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM (doors open at 8:45) at Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Road in Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.Ridgewood Road.  Registration for the full two-day series is $60 per person; one day tickets are $37.50. Cheryl Chernega will present two topics March 4

Presenting on March 4th:

Carol Chernega, author of A Dream House: Exploring the Literary Homes of England and has been published in a variety of magazines including Pennsylvania Gardener and National Wildlife. She will present two topics: How to Design an English Garden and Pruning Shrubs.
Bill Zawiski, supervisor of the Water Quality Group, Ohio EPA Northeast District office. Topic: Lake Erie, Our Watery Friend to the North.
Lisa Pfeifer, Educational Program Manager, Agricultural Safety and Health Program at The Ohio State University. Topic: Gardening as We Age.

Presenting on March 11th-
John Niebel, Stark County Master Gardener Volunteer. Topic: Drip Irrigation for Your Home Made Easy.
Donniella Winchell, Executive Director, Ohio Wine Producers Association and chair of their Vintage Ohio wine festival. Topic: The Wines We Grow…How, Why, Where and What.
Ashley Kulhanek, Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Educator in Medina County. Topic: Using Phenology in the Landscape

Eric Barrett, Assistant Professor and the OSU Extension Educator in Mahoning County. Topic: Gardening Myths and Legends.
